I’m a Hawke’s Bay-based coach, counsellor and speaker – and one of only a handful of practitioners in Australasia trained in Functional Imagery Training (FIT), an evidence-based approach that uses mental imagery to support lasting motivation and change.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent five years as a journalist, reporting on major national events for one of New Zealand’s leading media outlets. That experience sharpened my ability to listen, ask meaningful questions and communicate with clarity – all of which now underpin my work with clients, leaders, and audiences.
In 2019, I made the leap into mental health, completing a Master of Counselling. I researched how people grow through trauma, specifically during the COVID-19 pandemic. That work continues to shape my practice today. I help individuals build emotional flexibility and navigate personal and professional challenges with purpose.
Each week, I work with a wide range of clients in my private practice, while also partnering with businesses and organisations to improve wellbeing, leadership and performance. As a speaker, I deliver talks and workshops on emotional flexibility.
At the heart of my work is the core belief: we can live better, more fuller lives if we learn how to manage our emotions, thoughts and behaviour .
